Evil Wins When Good People Do Nothing

May Series

This June we continue with the sermon Series “Wired for Greatness”. Today is part B of last Sunday’s sermon on the Politics and Governance sector of society.

Prashan De Visser

We had a special guest from Sri Lanka, Mr Prashan De Visser of Sri Lanka Unites who delivered the sermon with Pastor M in the form of an interview. He came for the Fearless 2011 leadership summit and his leadership testimony is riveting and extremely relevant to anyone who wants to be a change agent of society. All who came know it was well worth it.

NB: Due to the sensitive nature of the content shared by our special guest, we are unable to post the week’s message. please bear with us for any inconvenience caused.

  3. I was deeply impressed by Mr Prashan De Visser’s courage and achievements in such a short span of time. His 26 years have been outstanding and he is truly wired for deserved greatness. That all this has been achieved under religious intolerance and persecution makes the feat greater having been achieved by 1%of Sri Lanka’s population. As a Kenyan I am deeply ashamed by the achievements of our 80% Christian majority who when compared to Sri Lanka appear to be in deep slumber. Had each of us responded positively to our Christian duty and calling there would be no IDP’s and no Kenyan would die of hunger as social inequalities would be adequately addressed. Let this be a wake up call for Kenya and God bless the hands of Mr. Visser abundantly.

While every sermon at Mavuno is unique, this probably goes down as the most profound testimony I heard at Mavuno. God bless President Prashan and our Pastor M

I do concur with all of you that Parashan’s testimony was inspiring and challenging at the same time. As one who is an age mate to this young man i must say sitting down and listening to his story was like standing on hot coal. My take outs were; one, i must overcome fear since this has stopped many numerous times from doing what God has called me to do. Secondly, and lastly, i kept wondering whether we have our own young people that we have not celebrated as we celebrated Parashan. I hope as a church we would lead others to celebrate our own. God bless you all!

  13. This was the best of this series !from worship to the testimony- I trust that it was meant for me!
Two weeks after Prashans great testimony n what he said- don wait for another person- it is you that God is appointed to execute the vision!

Yes am taking t one step at a time and am starting to hear Gods direction towards some social justice initiative

What was great ws what Pastor M closed with- it begins with surrender n ave been praying for this -total submission to God- let God and watch as He turn your dreams into reality in His time n place!this takes grace but ave also experienced the power of prayer n the peace that comes with submission!

God bless you President Prashan n Passie for this great Ministry!
