Miss Jay

Illusion: You are ok. Gay is ok.

Read John 8 : 2 – 11

  • Jesus accepts the person but condemns the sin – He pointed out that this woman’s lifestyle was sinful and she needed to change from it.
  • Jesus accepts the woman but rejects her lifestyle – He commands the woman to go and work on her lifestyle and deal with the sin in it.

Application:

  • He accepts you as a person. There is no acceptance that bears greater wight than to be accepted by your won creator and the source of all love. He wants a close relationship with you.

Jeremiah 31:3
The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.

  • His plan for your life is for you to ba able to live in realtionship with Him. This is done when one is made over and turns around from such a life of sin into a life of devotion to Him, living by his standards.

Hebrews 10:22
let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

  • Jesus accepts the person but does not condone the sin issue. He says yes to the person but no to the sin issue.

Hebrews 4:16
It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience.

.

Illusion: You are ok.

The vast majority of us don’t have gender identification issues. The agenda convinces us that we are OK, we are either;

  • Disgusted
  • Detached

Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Isaiah 53:6 – We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

We all need the grace of God. God’s grace is available for you.

I love the media related sermons. They are like an eye opener. Things we take in and expose the children without much of thought.

The song by Greenhouse, I love it. Have DVDs of it been given to the media houses to play? The likes of Gospel hour, Crossover, Off the hook and even the kids shows like Angels cafe and Generation three. The best way to clean up the airwaves.

  3. That was an awesome sermon. I tried to spend some alone-time with the TV OFF last night and it was awesome. The media has a big influence in our lives and we should be very careful on what we feed our minds.

    Thanks

  4. I prayed over someone who was really affected by this before. Continue doing the great works because it also changed my perception about the gay community. Continue praying for them and help them through the word.

    • Please share your story at my site http://istopped.wordpress.com for many more like you to be saved.

The purpose God put us on this earth is to help others who are facing the same issues. I was saved from a bondage of porn and masturbation for 12 years and have dedicated my life to helping others. Don’t be ashamed of Jesus who has saved you and given you this message down here on earth. He promises he will acknowledge you in heaven. I am a prayer counsellor at Mavuno and just want to let you know, “I feel you”

  6. Initially, i thought this sermon was not meant for me as i was a “responsible” consumer of the media. However, on Sunday God opened up my eyes and I managed to understand that indeed i have been tolerant and the media has played a part in shaping my reality. I am now going to conciously watch what I consume and pray I can sensitise others around me.

    Thanks Pastor Kiama.

    Hallo,

I was reading the Standard yesterday morning and Miss jay was right there. Domnic odipo is a columnist I respect. He was writing about American Ambassador and his not so diplomatic antics for which he supported. Know what?

He stated the article with the news that Argentinean parliament had approved gay marriages in a country that is 80% Catholic. What does this got to do with Mr. Rennebeger or Kenya foreign policy for that matter. It was an open case of inoculation.

  9. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!! you should have heard us at LG yesterday!! we made so much noise!! evry guy was really disgusted by gayism! we are privileged to have a doctor in our LG…and she confirmed, that there are theories and studies about a gene for gayness…and the studies have gone on for years…, explaining that gayness is nature if one has that gene. but guess what…that theory is jst that..(a hypothesis…) NO ONE has come up or identified that gene! IT DOES NOT EXIST. as in..that was such a deep conclusion…at the same time…we shdn’t condemn anyone…coz we all have issues….but we shoudnt tolerate…and say that it is ok to be gay…or promote gayness. refuse it in the media…. kudos to one of our LG members who works in one media hse. he refused to showcase some gay people, who wanted to talk about their rights(or smething like that) …. I had such a gr8 time at LG. life group rocks!! i pray that we will all make an impact/influence every where we work! esp. the media!

    God bless you Pastor K.
