  5. Hi Pastor S, the series was great and quite an inspiration. Its a reminder that we are much more than we think. Thanks and many blessings as you continue to inspire others.

Question: Since we have a Gideon’s torch, can we have the same for the women?

Thanks Pastor S. We sometimes forget the need to be feminine and think we can win by acting as a man… I was truly blessed by the end.. especially by the mother/ nurturer quality… for me, this has been a struggle since most times we hear a man does not need another mother.. and yet, he needs us to nurturer and care for them.. and that has really changed my attitude in my marriage.. and i know it will benefit both of us… God bless you for agreeing to be a vessel of blessing to Kenya and Africa as a whole.

@Martha, pls come to prayer tent on Sunday morning. We shall pray with you. I shall be there. I recommend an NIV bible available from supermarkets or any christian bookshop in town. As for mentor, please talk to pst. Judy at the prayer tent, she would know how to assist

  13. I wrote this poem for my LG group. I am sharing it for all the women out there because y’all are worth fighting for. Look yourself in the mirror and mean these words you say!

I am a queen, not just a pretty princess,
A beautiful woman with more responsibility not less
with an intelligent mind and common sense
with a mind of saving even as little as two cents

I am a nurturer, kind and caring
A woman that is soothing and loving
At home and at work I am encouraging
A designer and mentor at the forefront in home making

I am a Partner, my audience of one is captivated
I am supportive, to my love I am committed
A woman who is submissive to her one knighted
Through good times and bad with Him I am elated

I am a friend faithful and true
A woman to be counted on through through
Attractive features I have from every view
My inner beauty is God-influenced and made anew

I am a daughter of the most high my heritage to enjoy
A woman of great influence not to manipulate but employ
A glorious female I am busting with joy
When God created me, He was not hoping for a boy

I am a dream girl and I will soar
I have broken up with my past it bothers me no more
I am a woman who believes she is what God says she is
I will arise and shine! I am a woman worth fighting for.

You are beautiful and accepted by God. There is nothing that will separate you from God. You are not too dirty for the Lord. Thats the story of all us-that He took us in when we were so unlovable. Thats the love that sent Jesus to die on the cross that everything be restored. And yes he will take you as you are and cleanse you to be the gem you truly are.

Jesus needs you more than you will ever know.He is waiting for you to welcome him into your heart. His hands are wide open waiting for you NC..

This morning Martha accepted Christ into her life and how amazing it is!

First i wil say we dont choose nor understand wat happens 2 us bt we can choose how we respond.4giveness is a choice en feelings catch up later.i stil wake up every morning en have 2 remind myself i hv 2 let go en 4giv. I got born again en it hasnt been easy imagine i thot of giving up many times bt i reallized things wld hv been worse without God. In Isaiah 61 he gives beauty 4 ashes strength 4 fear oil of gladnes 4 mourning en peace 4 despair. We may nt see his hand bt we can trust his heart. 2cor 5:17 there is no condemnation 4 those who r in christ Jesus old is gone en new has become. Isaiah43 :18-21 he is doing a new thing. Well i luv u so much 2 tel u that I cant help u bt God can en no one else. Hell is so real en Jesus is coming soon choose him 2day. Pliz cum 2 mavuno en call the number. They can connect u 2 me. Your dad is dead. Am sori you get 2 know this way. He died saved looking 4 you 2 say he is sori 4 all he did 2 you. Before he died he found you in town streets crying and was happy you allowed him 2 hold you and comfrot u. He was at peace knowing you still loved him. His last words were “i love martha”. You know wat happened 2 u happened 2 him when he was young and he hid it in his heart and he turned out that way. Am happy u are seeking help. I wish i could be where you are to hold you. I love you. I understand if you do not come home right away and am now here 4 you and luv you. Honey its ok to cry. I write 2 u in tears and pain but with luv 4 you. Thank you mavuno 4 what you have done in my life and my beautiful girl.

Hi, our sermon summaries have become VERY scanty. The worst were pastor Linda’s or do u want guys to buy the CDs from the church instead? What’s going on? What is the blog 4? Comments alone? Pliz do a beta job! Also pliz add a prayer request section on the web for the prayer team so ple can share their intimate issues. Also I think Pas S & Pas Linda should re-consid the way they deliver their msgs & others have said the same. I lk the way Pas M does his thing. Borrow a leaf. Otherwise GOOD job! Blessings. For me, i’m having a hard time figuring out my feminine side. I’ve been hard so long. Thanks Pas S. The FIGHT continues! Help us Lord. This life demands more than we can give!!!

      Hi Request

I am sure you are able to put down your request in a more palatable form; your tone is so harsh, that I wonder if you are genuine when you say “good job”.

You may have concerns/suggestions about how some things can be done, and these would surely be addressed by the Team at Mavuno, whichever way you put them. Please appreciate their efforts and list your requests in kinder fashion. If you serve at church, you would know what it would feel like reading your post and then seeking to act on it, when there is no genuine lauding for the work they have done so far.

Lastly, if all the pastors preached in the same way, it would be plainly boring! They have different personalities and their delivery styles makes each of the sermons all the more interesting!

Yesterday’s sermon was about Accomodaters, Withdrawers and Indifferent’s. See what YOU can do to make the difference you crave 🙂

      Hi Request,

I can’t imagine being on the receiving end of your comment. Your request may be genuine, but how you are putting it across is as one owed a favor. The staff team and volunteers at Mavuno do a commendable job. Their calling is a tough one and there will definitely be times when they fall short. They are just as human as we are. Allow me to make a suggestion. Perhaps, you could volunteer to be the sermon scribe. An avid reader normally makes a gifted writer… maybe that is you? I am a firm believer in being the change you want to see.

Pastor M was right to say it’s very lonely at the top… I continue to pray for the staff team at Mavuno.

    • Hi Request,

if you ever saw the process of sermon-series preparation and presentation at Mavuno, You’d be amazed to see that A WHOLE LOT of effort goes into the end product. More than you can imagine. What you experience on Sunday is a product of many minds working tirelessly and often without reward.

That a sermon summary is made available to you, should be reason enough to say thank you. Where else do you get THAT???

I’m not saying this to excuse mediocrity in any way, Serving at Mavuno has taught me to desire excellence.

If you were in church yesterday, you remember the illustration Pastor M gave? A sports stadium, with few players on the field, badly in need of a break, and a stadium FULL of spectators, just watching and shouting from the sidelines.

I encourage you to become a player. I’m sure we could use an extra pair of hands as Miss Piggy has suggested. Take it upon yourself to see the summaries done as they should be done.

@ request, yaani i’m even lost for words. First, please buy a simple exercise book and pen and begin to write short notes in church because thats what your supposed to do in the first place and the write ups online are just a guide of what was preached in church. Then after, if you didnt shika the sermon well you can always download the link and listen again to the sermon. The CD’s I believe are for sale for people on the move in harsh areas where internet doesn’t fika….been to Darfur/North Korea…..my friend….you’d appreciate that CD 100 fold That said, lastly, i’d advice you to take a break in what you do and volunteer at Mavuno just for 4 weeks and you will see for yourself how much everyone puts to ensure you and me enjoy the Sunday service. Yaani, if you can, just apologize to the Passy’s that was uncalled for…..meanwhile remain blessed.

Hi, i’ve heard the series but it’s still a struggle. I base my worth on success. I thought having God on my corner would make it better but it’s made me more ambitious with NO results. I struggle with relationships, work etc all the areas that can define success. I need to succeed! When shall the God of Elijah etc Rise up & give me a victory? 4 how long will i feel lk a failure while believing in an ALMIGHTY God? God REALLY needs to start showing up. I’m getting VERY weary. All i hv to fall back on is Faith 4 what that’s worth. I need more. I cry so much & though i don’t see a reason why, i fight on to live. Pliz pray with me. I wanna be happy to wake up for a change

I know your need to fill like if your moving forward, i might have what people say is success but it onlys makes you proud to refer to your successes to be happy. I am a firm believer of the blessing of Abraham in which the Lord promised to be His reward: He is your reward. Let anything else be that which adds to glorify God. The character of man really comes out in success than in failure, pray that the Lord straightens you out that your heart shall remain steadfast even in your coming success.
